Box Hill Hospital
Established in 1956, Box Hill Hospital is the largest of our acute hospitals admitting more than 48,000 patients each year.
We provide a wide range of healthcare services including: emergency care, general and specialist medicine, intensive care, mental health services for children, adolescents and adults, maternity services, post-acute care programs, surgery, teaching and research.
We are a university teaching hospital affiliated with Monash, La Trobe and Deakin Universities.
The Emergency Department entrance is via Rodgerson Road
All wards are located in Building A (entrance via Arnold Street)
The Box Hill Hospital Maternity Service, including antenatal ward, birthing suites, special care nursery, fetal monitoring and specialist clinics, is located on Level 3, Building A.
Specialist Clinics (Outpatients)
Most Specialist Clinics (Outpatients) operate from Building B and entry to these clinics are from Nelson Road.
Totally Tobacco Free
Eastern Health is totally tobacco-free. Under the Tobacco Act 1987 smoking is prohibited within four metres of an entrance to all Victorian public hospitals and registered community health centres. Smoking is not allowed in the buildings or on the grounds of any of our sites, including walkways, entrances and car parks.
