Step 1: Talk to your nurse
If you are not satisfied with the response, go to Step 2
Step 2: Ask to speak to the nurse or midwife in charge of the shift
If you are not satisfied with the response, go to Step 3
Step 3: Phone the Patient Care Hotline on 9975 6789 and explain your concerns. You will need to provide the patient’s name, location and contact details. A senior clinician will review the patient and provide assistance.
If you are not satisfied with this response, and the person you are calling for is under 18, you can call the Kids Urgent Concern Helpline on 13 82 45. You will get an independent assessment of your child’s care via phone or video call.
