Eastern Health provide a range of clinical treatment services for those experiencing an episode of severe mental illness.

Central East Mental Health Services

These services are offered in the council areas of Manningham, Whitehorse and Monash.

Outer East Mental Health Services

These services cover the council areas of Maroondah, Knox and the Yarra Ranges.

Triage And Emergency Department Response Service

This service operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week and provides a triage service for the ENTIRE Eastern Health Mental Health Program.

Families where a Parent has a Mental Illness

Dual Diagnosis

This service is dedicated to improving the response of mental health and drug treatment services to individuals with both mental illness and substance use problems.

Carers/family services and support

National Disability Insurance Scheme

Latrobe Community Health Service deliver local area coordination (LAC) services for the National Disability Insurance Scheme(NDIS) in the inner and outer East, commencing on November 1 2017.

Latrobe Community Health and Various NDIS providers will be offering information sessions over the next six months to help people and their families understand and prepare for the NDIS.

The sessions will cover topics such as:

  • What is the NDIS and how does it work? 
  • What kind of support can I access through the NDIS?
  • Accessing the NDIS
  • The roll out of NDIS in the Inner Eastern Melbourne area

These providers have developed workbooks to help people to start to formulate thoughts and ideas on areas of their life they would like assistance with.

Some people with mental illness will be eligible for NDIS.
