Transition to Specialty Practice (TSP)
Our Transition to Speciality Practice programs (TSP) are open to all Registered Nurses who have a minimum of 12 months recent acute care experience, and can demonstrate commitment to professional development. The program seeks to further develop and advance the clinical expertise and practice of the Registered Nurse (RN) working within specialty acute care environments across Eastern Health;
- Intensive Care
- Cardiac Care
- Emergency
- Peri-operative
- Oncology
- Renal
- Paediatric
- Mental Health
The TSP programs provide;
- Advanced theoretical and skill development to complement clinical practice
- Support to apply advanced physiology and pathophysiology principles to enhance critical thinking skills, particularly in relation to patient assessment and instigation of treatment interventions.
- Access to guided supervision and support
- The TSP offers a pathway to Post Graduate studies.
