Angliss Allied Health Outpatient Services provide assessment and management of:  Developmental Delay, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Positional Talipes, Hip Displasia, Toe Walking, Plagiocephaly (Falt or misshapen head) Juvenile Chronic Arthritis, Asthma, Sports and Soft tissue injuries, Post Fracture Management, Postural conditions and Back and Neck pain.

Paediatric physiotherapists are available to provide assessment and management for children with a wide range of paediatric conditions.

Referral must come from:

  • Medical practitioner
  • Allied health professional
  • Maternal and child health nurse or
  • School nurse

Appropriate clients to refer:

  • Plagiocephaly
  • Torticollis / postural turns
  • Talipes
  • Normal postural variations (eg. In-toeing, bow-legged, knock-knees, flat feet)
  • Developmental delay (not reaching gross motor milestones)
  • Acute orthopaedic conditions (eg. post fracture, sprains and strains)
  • Developmental disorders, pre schoolers who are not eligible for early intervention
  • Respiratory/ breathing problems (from Medical Practitioners only)

Refer to alternate services if:

  • Multidisciplinary team required for developmental delay (2 or more allied health therapies)- Refer to Early Childhood Intervention Services through Central Intake: Dept Education and Early Childhood Development
  • Intensive multidisciplinary therapies required – Refer to the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service for a child aged between 0-18 andHas had an acquired injuy, medical/surgical intervention or a functional impairment
  • Has moderate to high complexity rehabilitation needs and /or requires a time limited and goal focused program
  • Requires an interdisciplinary team approach to achieve their rehabilitation goals
  • Case management required – Refer to Paediatrician/ Scope/ CPEC/ Private Physiotherapist
