Our Eastern Health Community Health dietitians can work with you to:

- Learn about mindful eating
- Understand healthy eating for diabetes
- Keep your heart healthy
- Understand balanced eating
- Be healthy at any weight
- Lose weight for health
- Manage underweight issues
- Manage food intolerances
- Balance vegetarian and vegan diets
- Manage adult eating disorders
- Understand women’s health – including pre and postnatal nutrition
Our Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) will provide a comprehensive assessment and develop a practical management plan with you.
When referring a client, please provide comprehensive medical history including medications and results of any relevant investigations.
If you are over the age of 65, please refer via
My Aged Care or by calling 1800 200 422.
The level of fees payable is dependent on the client’s income and whether the client has a concession card. Our services are for low and middle income earners.
Current fees (August 2022) are:
• $11 low income families (includes Health Care Card holders),
• $17 for middle income earners
No you don’t need a doctor’s referral, you can self-refer to all of the community health services.
