The Eastern Health Focal Spasticity Management Clinic (FSMC) is a specialised interdisciplinary clinic run by a rehabilitation physician and a physiotherapist. Occupational therapy is available via Community Rehabilitation Program as required.

Spasticity can affect a person’s upper or lower limbs and this may impact on their functional ability, hygiene, ease of dressing or cause pain. The clinic provides a comprehensive assessment and makes recommendations regarding the management of spasticity. Where clinically indicated, medical management may include injections into the upper and or lower limbs to assist with achieving client goals.
