Carers Offering Peers Early Support (COPES) provides peer support and information to families and carers whose family member or friend is using Eastern Health’s Adult Mental Health Service.
Based at the Adult Inpatients Units and the Community Clinics, COPES workers provide face to face or telephone support to help families and carers navigate mental health services and link you in with carer support options.
This service is staffed by people who have cared for a family member or friend who has used the mental health services.
This service is for family and carers of individuals using the Eastern Health Adult Mental Health Services, including the inpatient units.
Families and carers of individuals accessing services from EACH or MIND may also be eligible for this service. Please contact us for more information.
Families and carers can self refer by contacting COPES directly on Ph: (03) 9955 1177
A referral is required when family or carers are referred by an agency or health professional. See attached referral. (DOC, 510KB)
