Turning Point Eastern Treatment Services provides compassionate care for people affected by substance use problems. Our team works with the needs of the individual and their family, offering alcohol and other drug counselling, medical and psychiatric treatment and detoxification.

Walk in service

Turning Point’s “walk in” service provides treatment planning and support for individuals affected by alcohol and other drugs. No appointment is needed, simply visit us at 43 Carrington Road and one of our clinicians will organise your recovery plan. We tailor our recovery plans to meet our clients’ needs and stage of substance use, which may range from reduction of harmful drug use through to abstinence from all drugs.

Detoxification

Turning Point offers short live-in (residential) detoxification at our Wellington House facility, and outpatient or non residential alcohol or other drug detoxification. The requirement for detoxification can be discussed with our clinicians. All detoxification is medically supervised in conjunction with your general practitioner.

Counselling and care coordination

Turning Point’s team of psychologists and other counselling staff includes specialists in forensic issues. Our clinicians can provide a structured plan for counselling over multiple sessions.

Medical clinics

Turning Point has a large medical team including specialist addiction physicians and psychiatrists. Any general practitioner can write a referral for treatment with our Turning Point doctors. We provide specialist medical support for medication withdrawal, dependence on painkillers, mental health problems with alcohol or other drug use and specialist prescribing of drugs.
