We provide a comprehensive range of community based clinical services for infants, children, young people, and their families and support networks to children and young people requiring specialist care.
Initially you will meet with two clinicians to develop a greater understanding of your mental health concerns and to determine the most appropriate next steps. You can expect some feedback at the end of the meeting and an agreed plan which may include more detailed assessment sessions, ongoing treatment with our services or referral to a more appropriate service. If you are continuing with our services, an Individual Recovery Plan will be developed collaboratively with the child or young person and their family/support network identifying areas of concern and the range of interventions agreed upon to support the identified recovery goals.
A combination of the following interventions will support the child or young person work towards their identified recovery goals:
- Individual and family therapies
- Psychiatrist review
- Group based therapies
- Psycho-education
- Young person and Family/Carer Peer support
- Cultural support for young Aboriginal people and their family/carer
- Family Based Treatment and Multi Family Therapy for the treatment of Anorexia Nervosa
- Clinical case management, including coordination of care across the service system
