Avenues Education is a government school that works in partnership with our Infant Child & Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service to provide targeted educational services for students who are due to social, emotional, and/or mental health concerns are having difficulty accessing education. The service supports young people who are engaged with our Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, with Avenues Education teachers, working together with our clinicians to support children and young people’s connection with school or other educational provider.
The purpose of Avenues Education is to assist students experiencing mental health concerns by providing of a range of strategies and specialised support to assist them to access education. This support provides you with the opportunity to talk about your educational needs with Avenues Education teachers, in a safe and supportive space. This service is free and voluntary and at any time you can stop the support.
