National Reconciliation Week 2023

From 27 May to 3 June we will be observing National Reconciliation Week - a time to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

This year’s theme, Be a Voice for Generations, encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives – where we live, work and socialise.

On Wednesday 31 May we will be hosting a livestream, Reconciliation in Action, where guest speaker Mark Thomson will talk to us about the development of our inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan as well as his work with the Yoorrook Justice Commission. This event will be livestreamed in the Eastern Health Newsroom on Workplace from 11:30am.

See below some resources you can use in various spaces throughout our services to remind our colleagues about the importance of reconciliation and encourage them to have meaningful and important conversations on the work of generations past and how to create a more just, equitable and reconciled country for all.
