Our Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is a sub-committee of the Eastern Health Board and serves as a key means of ensuring community participation occurs at Eastern Health. Established in 2001, it provides valuable insights and advice about the community's needs and expectations.
The CAC is responsible to the Board to:
- Assist Eastern Health to integrate consumer and community views at all levels of its operations, planning and policy development
- Express the views of the community to the Eastern Health Board
- Advise the Eastern Health Board on whether there is effective consumer and community engagement/participation across the organisation as defined by the Eastern Health framework
The Committee monitors the community participation plan to ensure it is appropriate and checks the organisation's progress against the actions proposed.
