The Eastern Health Pathology laboratories are fully accredited to the:
- National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA)
- Royal College of Pathologists of Australia (RCPA)
- Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) guidelines
Eastern Health Pathology laboratories are committed to providing the highest standard of service to clinicians and patients. We have a team of Specialist Pathologists and dedicated Scientific, Laboratory and Administrative staff.
Quality of examinations is assured as a result of:
- An extensive internal Quality control program.
- Participation in external proficiency testing programs conducted by the Royal College of Pathologists of Australia (RCPA).
- Accreditation by National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) in conjunction with The Royal College of Pathologists of Australia (RCPA) which assures ongoing technical competence and compliance with ISO 15189 – Medical laboratories – particular requirements for quality and competence.
- As part of the Eastern Health network, our Pathology Laboratories also undergo inspection by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) to ensure ongoing compliance with NSQHS standards and Equip National Guidelines.
