Changes to Clinic Appointments due to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Eastern Health is taking action to reduce the risk of infection and slow the spread of coronavirus in the community. In addition to practising social distancing, where suitable, we are replacing face-to-face appointments with your specialist with telephone or video call appointments (also called Telehealth).

A Telehealth appointment will only be held if it does not compromise your diagnosis or treatment.

As always, your privacy is our priority during Telehealth appointments.

If you do not hear from us, please attend your appointment in person.

We will contact you at least 24 hours before your appointment to let you know if it will be by telephone or video call, and confirm which number we will be calling.

When you have your Telehealth appointment, please be prepared by being seated in a quiet place with pen and paper, and have your questions prepared.

Eastern Health currently has visitor restrictions in place, so you should attend your appointment alone. If you need a carer, only one carer per patient is permitted.

For safety reasons, when you attend an Eastern Health site, you will be required to walk through a temperature scanner.

Welcome to Telehealth at Eastern Health.

Telehealth connects patients and health care providers to each other, without the need for travelling to Eastern Health facilities. This will reduce your time, costs and stress associated with travelling to an appointment.

A telehealth appointment is just like a normal appointment; only the health care provider you will be seeing and speaking with is on a monitor or TV screen. You will be able to see, hear and talk to them as if they were in the same room as you.

For more information about Telehealth, download our information brochure or troubleshooting guide.

Please test the your computer set-up prior to each consultation.

Please note: you must use Google Chrome as your browser for Telehealth to operate correctly.

Help and Support: Should you require any assistance, please contact the clinic via the phone number on your appointment letter.
