Inpatient rehabilitation services are provided at the Peter James Centre and Angliss Hospital. Both sites provide specialist neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation programs.
Rehabilitation aims to maximize independence and quality of life for people with a wide range of medical conditions, including:
• Stroke and other neurological disorders
• Orthopaedic – fractures and joint replacements
• Amputation
• Deconditioning post acute medical and surgical illness
• Trauma – multi-trauma, orthopaedic, brain injury and spinal injuryThe Inpatient Access Unit provides a single point of entry for referral to all Eastern Health sites. Referral to these services can be made by General Practitioner and Care Co-ordination teams.
