Eastern Health operate public sector residential aged care services at two locations:
Healesville – Monda Lodge Residential Aged Care Home
Wantirna – Murrenda Residential Aged Care Home
Murrenda Residential Aged Care Home
Murrenda Residential Aged Care Home for people with complex medical and psychogeriatric care needs. The Home has been named by Elders from the Wurunjeri people using the traditional woi wurrung language. The name Murrenda means ‘Life or Living’ which represents beautifully the culture and care model of the Home.
The Murrenda Home supports a range of resident care needs and contemporary models of care to provide a dementia-friendly environment. Residents are welcomed into a home-like environment where their independence, maintenance of friendships and participation in the local community will be encouraged. An open door philosophy will exist for family and friends to visit.
Families interested in a referral to Murrenda should contact murrendaReferrals@easternhealth.org.au or call Reception on 9139 8002
