Stroke and Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA) Clinics

• Stroke and transient ischaemic attack (TIA) clinics are held at Box Hill Hospital and Maroondah Hospital three times per week.
• Clinics are held at Maroondah Hospital on Tuesday and Friday and at Box Hill Hospital on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
• These clinics see patients for review following a confirmed stroke and also patients who have had transient symptoms, suspicious for a stroke, known as a TIA.

Information for Health Professionals

Eligibility criteria

Confirmed or suspected stroke or TIA. Please note: patients with acute stroke symptoms should be sent to ED urgently by ambulance and not referred to clinic.

Referral information

Please make all referrals to Professor Helen Dewey, stroke clinic. Referrals will be triaged to insure appropriate timing of review and the optimal clinic for the patient referred.
