Would you like to know which exercises are suitable and safe whilst pregnant to prepare for labour and help recover after having your baby?
Would you like to experience the mental and physical benefits of exercising in a group?
If so then Mums In Training is for you!
“Mums In Training” is an antenatal exercise program run by Eastern Health Physiotherapists.
Where: Virtual Groups via "Zoom"
Face to Face sessions at Angliss Hospital (Community Rehabilitation building).
When: Wednesday evenings at 5:45pm and 7pm
Cost: Cost: $10 per session (Note: If you are experiencing financial hardship please inform the receptionist. Access to these classes will NOT be denied on these grounds)
Exercise during pregnancy has many benefits to mother and baby:
- Controls gestational weight gain
- Reduces the risk of pregnancy related conditions such as gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
- Improves mood and sleep
- Prevents and reduces pelvic girdle and lower back pain during pregnancy
- Pelvic floor exercises during and after pregnancy greatly reduce the risk of pelvic floor dysfunction.
