BreastScreen Victoria is part of the national breast cancer screening program inviting women to have a free screening mammogram (breast x-ray) every two years.
BreastScreen Victoria saves lives. Regular screening mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, before any symptoms are noticed and when treatment is likely to be most successful. There are four BreastScreen services conveniently located in the eastern metropolitan region.
The program targets women aged 50-75 years however women in their 40’s and over 70 are also able to attend.
