Physiotherapy - Specialist Clinic (Outpatient) Services

Physiotherapists working in Specialist Clinic (Outpatients) Physiotherapy Departments across Eastern Health assess and treat patients with varied conditions following injury or surgery.

Physiotherapists will assess and treat patients on an individual basis in the outpatient physiotherapy departments.

Conditions treated will include soft tissue injuries, fractures following removal of plaster, arthritis, back and neck pain, as well as rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery and neurological conditions.

The physiotherapist will assist patients to return to an improved level of function with a patient centred focus which will include a treatment plan that takes into account a patient's lifestyle, leisure activities and general health. This will include advice on how patient's can assist themselves for example with exercise.

Physiotherapists are able to treat all ages in these settings.

Angliss Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Healesville Hospital & Yarra Valley Health, Maroondah Hospital, Peter James Centre and Yarra Ranges Health.
