This website has a locator function for Accredited Practicing Dietitians (APDs) who see patients privately. You can search for an APD in a certain location by looking for the “Find an APD” link (or by calling 1800 812 942)

Dietitians apply the science of human nutrition to food and health. They provide education and practical support to enable people to make dietary choices that will maximise their health and wellbeing. Eastern Health Dietitians provide inpatient and outpatient services in the hospital, community health, rehabilitation centre or home. They work as part of the health care team to ensure high quality client-centred care.

Dietitians are available at most Eastern Health sites during business hours Monday to Friday with a limited weekend service at Box Hill and Maroondah Hospitals. Outpatient services and Community Health services are available at set times during business hours. Eastern Health Dietitians auspice the Eastern Health Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) Program for those patients/clients requiring tube feeding in the home (e.g. receive nutrition via a nasogastric or PEG tube).
