The Home has been named by Elders from the Wurundjeri people using the traditional Woi wurrung language. The name murrenda means ‘Life or Living’ which represents beautifully the culture and care model of the Home.
It has capacity for 120 residents with 90 bedrooms open. Each level has 30 bedrooms with ensuites, 60 rooms catering for Residential Aged Persons Mental Health and 30 rooms for people needing complex high care needs.
