The Eastern Health Box Hill stroke team has once again been recognised for their high performance across all areas, being awarded Diamond status by the World Stroke Organisation.

This is the fourth straight WSO Angels award for the team, but it’s first ever Diamond status.

Diamond status recognises Eastern Health Box Hill as achieving excellence in hyperacute treatment times including our nation leading door-to-needle times for thrombolysis and affirms the ongoing commitment to the Australian National Stroke targets.

Additionally, it acknowledges the hard work of the stroke multidisciplinary team through timely access, provision of dedicated stroke nursing care, and allied health interventions tailored to the individual stroke survivor.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved and thank you to all the hardworking stroke clinicians for their dedication and expertise.
