Maryanne is an Administration Assistant at Turning Point. Turning Point is Australia’s leading national addiction treatment, training and research centre.

Often the first point of contact for clients seeking help, Maryanne shares the importance of offering kindness to the clients she meets every day.

“When our clients come through the front door, I know it’s very difficult for them to make that first step.

So by making them feel welcome and acknowledging their courage, that they’ve done well in making that initial step through the door, is important.”

Maryanne has done a range of different roles at Eastern Health. From starting her job as a 16-year-old as a clerk in medical records, she ventured around IVF clinics, medical legal team, emergency department, and landed in her current role at Turning Point.

She has accumulated an outstanding 47 years of experience at Eastern Health.

“And I’ve had an amazing journey here at Eastern Health, and I’ve loved every moment of it.”
