“It’s not just one single approach, it’s a melting pot of ideas.”
Julian Nesci, Senior Clinician at Spectrum, during Mental Health Awareness Month, he talks about the challenges facing our community, and the amazing work that Spectrum is doing in the borderline personality disorder space.
A long-time clinical psychologist Julian talks about how important it is to not only look after yourself but look out for the people around you as well.
“What’s important is being able to talk about what you find difficult, making a space to make sense of the challenges, to understand them better and deal with them more effectively. Breaking down the taboos, to essentially say, we all find it difficult, and we can all benefit from talking about.”
This Mental Health Awareness Month the theme is “Let’s talk about it” prompting us all to reflect on our mental health and overall wellbeing, irrespective of whether we’ve personally encountered mental illness.
