Students bring smiles to cancer patients at Eastern Health Box Hill

Year 9 students from Caulfield Grammar School (Wheelers Hill) collaborated with Year 3 students of Brandon Park Primary School on a project to create cards with positive messages for patients going through oncology treatment.

Colourful cards with positive words of affirmation have been met with great appreciation from Eastern Health oncology patients and staff. The positive and sometimes quirky words of encouragement have been a great way for the patients to decompress during their treatment.

We extend a special thanks to Angela, Michelle and Vanessa from Year 9, who were joined by Year 3 students Anastasia and Maxwell to personally hand out the cards to patients across Ward 4.1.
