Wendy Calder is the Director of Nursing Residential Aged Care Services at Eastern Health.

A passionate advocate with a wealth of experience, one of her many duties includes implementing the Aged Care Reform, ensuring the care and services provided are of high quality.

“Our residents are our main focus. The more we provide individual care for our residents, the better experience they will have.”

“The Reform is challenging, but the outcomes have been fantastic,” she continued.

Starting out in Aged Care as an Enrolled Nurse, then working across the world, Wendy finds herself bringing her decades of knowledge into her current role.

“Our residents have been the backbone of Australia. Many of them have experienced wars, and many of them are immigrants from other countries that came and helped Australia to be what it is today.

“I just want to give them that dignity and respect. It’s one of my passions and what I delight in every day.”
