Eastern Health Box Hill has been awarded another Platinum status by WSO, making it the only hospital in Australia to have achieved three Platinum Status in a row.
The World Stroke Organisation (WSO) recognises stroke services around the world for their excellence.
The award looks at the spectrum of stroke care from hyperacute therapies, stroke unit care, formal swallow assessment and secondary prevention of stroke.
With the treatment times remaining amongst the fastest in Australia, this achievement reflects the excellent care delivered by the Box Hill Stroke team in collaboration with the Emergency Department, Medical Imaging and multidisciplinary unit.
