National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day

National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day is held every year on 4 August. This year’s theme, Strong in Culture, Stronger Together, focuses on the strength of First Nations children that comes from their connection to culture and mob.   

At Eastern Health we are committed to promoting the wellbeing and cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. Today is a chance for us to learn about the impact that culture, family and community play in the life of every child. We are grateful to the parents, carers and family who play a big part in caring for the children in our community.
