Trained as a lawyer, Eugene Arocca brings a wealth of leadership experience and a dynamic, people-focused approach to his new role as Board Chair at Eastern Health.

Eugene’s career began with over two decades at a major law firm before he made a bold move into sports administration, driven by a desire to spend more time with family and contribute more meaningfully to his community.

His executive journey has included senior roles at the Collingwood Football Club, as CEO of North Melbourne Football Club, and a 12-year tenure leading Motorsport Australia.

Alongside his professional roles, Eugene served on the board of the Royal Melbourne Hospital for nine years, underscoring his long-standing commitment to public health.With a deep respect for the Australian public health system, Eugene sees this next chapter as a natural progression in his desire to give back.

“It’s the best public health system in the world, and to be a part of that and actually give back in a meaningful way, that’s what inspires me,” he says.
