Have your say on diversity and inclusion at Eastern Health

Eastern Health recognises the importance of providing a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for everyone.  

Through our advisory groups, patient, and consumer feedback mechanisms, and in day-to-day practice, we engage with people with diverse needs.

This includes people from a range of backgrounds and experiences, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, those from culturally diverse backgrounds, people in the LGBTQIA+ community, people with disabilities, women experiencing violence, and many others.  

We want to improve, and we need your help.

There are several issues we are keen to explore, including:   

• How well does Eastern Health currently respond to the diverse needs and experiences of its consumers, patients, staff, and volunteers?  
• What is your vision for how Eastern Health should approach its diversity and inclusion work into the future?  
• How can we improve our approach?  

How you can have your say

1. Complete a survey on how safe, welcoming and/or inclusive you find Eastern Health’s environment – Diversity, Equity & Inclusion feedback to Eastern Health
2. Attend workshops facilitated by an external consultant:

• In person: Federation Estate, 18 July, 1-3pm – Eastern Health: Diversity Equity and Inclusion workshop – for Consumers 
• Online: 23 July, 6-8pm – Eastern Health: Diversity Equity and Inclusion workshop – for Consumers
