Gynaecology support for women

Support is now available for former patients of a retired Melbourne gynaecologist, Dr Simon Gordon, who is currently under investigation.

Care Navigators are being funded by the Commonwealth through Victoria’s Primary Health Networks to help women organise follow‑up care, arrange specialist reviews, and connect with local GPs and relevant support services.

Additionally, the Victorian Government is funding more specialist endometriosis services at Eastern Health, Barwon Health, Monash Health, Royal Women’s Hospital and Western Health. Women will receive gynaecology reviews and be assisted with gathering medical records, understanding their scans and test results, and will be guided on the next steps. Allied health, imaging and psychological support may also be available for some women.
