Eastern Health proudly recognised the 2026 National Reconciliation Week with a morning tea at our Box Hill campus.

The event brought staff and community members together to reflect on the meaning and importance of reconciliation.

Eastern Health is committed to creating culturally safe and inclusive environments for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Opening with a Welcome to Country by Uncle Colin Hunter, followed by reflections from Aunty Lucia Baulch on the importance of reconciliation within healthcare, staff were also privileged to experience a powerful song and dance performance by students from Worawa Aboriginal Girls College.

To conclude, Eastern Health Acknowledged the 2026 Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Champions, who were nominated in recognition of their commitment towards reconciliation initiatives across our health service.
