Eastern Health is proud to acknowledge NAIDOC Week 2026 (5 - 12 July).

We value the opportunity to listen and reflect on the rich histories and contributions of First Nations people in Australia. This year’s theme – 50 Years of Deadly – recognises five decades of strength, pride, resilience, and celebration, honouring the voices, stories, and contributions that continue to shape our shared future.

At Eastern Health we are committed to engaging and collaborating with our community.

We are dedicated to closing the health gap by achieving equality in health status between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous Australians.

By listening and acting with respect, we strive to create a culturally safe and inclusive health system for all.

Eastern Health launches the First Nations Employment and Cultural Safety Plans

Eastern Health is proud to announce the launch of the First Nations’ Learning Hub -Markmak Nangak Djeenongs Murrenda.

The hub will provide staff with education, guidance and information on cultural safety to ensure positive health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our community.

The First Nations Education Hub is in part funded by the Community Projects Fund grant, through the Suburban Rail Loop Authority.
