James Campbell is Director Operations, Care@Home and Acute Specialist Clinics. In this role, James works across a diverse range of services including Hospital in the Home, Acute Specialist Clinics, outreach services and community health.

Passionate about improving patient outcomes, by partnering with the eHealth and ICT teams at Eastern Health, it has brought digital advances across the sector.

Eastern Health was the first in Australia to work in partnership with Oracle Health around scheduling and route mapping software to support Hospital in the Home, GEM@Home and Rehab@Home services – launching the initiative in 2025.

“It’s really helped us to be able to become much more efficient, much more safe in the way that we schedule our home visits.”

Acute Specialist Clinics are now able to deliver communication instantaneously from the clinic to GPs.

“As soon as that button is clicked, the information goes straight to the GP. No delays, no waiting for letters. None of that.”
