Eastern Health Chief Executive David Plunkett has advised that he will not be renewing his contract when it concludes later in 2026.
David Plunkett has served Eastern Health for more than 20 years and as Chief Executive for over 9 years.
“I’m so privileged to work alongside such dedicated people.
My priority remains on delivering our priorities and results for 2025/26 with the Executive Leadership team.”
David will be working with the Eastern Health Board Chair Eugene Arocca in securing the next Chief Executive of Eastern Health.
“David’s impact on Eastern Health has been profound over the past two decades, and this announcement marks the beginning of a transition, not a conclusion”.
The Eastern Health Board will commence a thorough and extensive recruitment process with the executive search firm, Odgers.
