Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia and the most common cancer among females. Regular screening mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, before any symptoms are noticed and when treatment is likely to be most successful.
“We’ve got a large multidisciplinary team. This team includes, Breast Care Nurses who work closely with Medical oncologists, Radiation oncologists, Breast & Plastic Surgeons, who also specialise in oncoplastic and breast reconstruction. In addition to this, we often refer to allied health, other specialist oncology nurses and community supports.”
