The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign, calling for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.

On Wednesday, 27 November Eastern Health staff were joined by community partners FVREE, The Orange Door, Eastern Community Legal Centre (ECLC) and Anglicare, to take part in the Respect Walk, in support of ending gender-based violence.

Almost 1 in 3 women around the world over the age of 15 have been subjected to physical or sexual violence in their lifetime.

Eastern Health is committed to supporting community members experiencing family violence across the lifespan.
