Computer outage experienced by Eastern Health

Saturday, June 22, 2019

Over the long weekend in June, Eastern Health thwarted a cyber-security incident through its stringent IT security measures.

The issue was immediately contained and there was no loss of data from the computer network. There are no ongoing IT issues as a result of the incident.

All systems have been restored. No breaches of patient data or privacy were identified.

There has been no impact on access to patient services across Eastern Health as a consequence of this incident.

Patient safety will always be our number one priority. Our patients can have confidence in the quality and safety of the services provided by Eastern Health.
