The redevelopment of Healesville Hospital and Yarra Valley Health is complete. Services recommenced at the completely refurbished building on February 6, 2017. 

Healesville Hospital and Yarra Valley Health provides a range of acute and community health services. The hospital serves an area of approximately 2000 square kilometres, which includes the townships of Healesville, Yarra Junction, Warburton, Yarra Glen and smaller rural communities. Parking

Limited off street parking including disabled parking is available via the
main entrance driveway.

Failure to observe parking restrictions on the hospital grounds and
surrounding streets may result in a parking infringement notice being
issued by the local council.


Taxies and Public transport

Taxi drop off and pick up is available at the main entrance via Maroondah Highway. Reception staff can assist with booking
a taxi for you.

Several bus routes stop along Maroondah Highway outside the Hospital. Further information and timetables available via Public Transport Victoria..

Visiting hours

We recognise visitors play an important role in supporting patients. Visiting hours are from 8:00am to 8:00pm, with
flexible visiting hours depending on patient needs. Please speak directly to the ward manager if you have any
questions regarding visiting hours.

Facilities

There is no onsite retail facilities at Healesville Hospital and Yarra Valley Health. The Healesville township is within a 5-
minute drive from the Hospital and has a wide range of retail outlets and ATM facilities available.

Sacred space

An area is made available for consumers, their families and friends, staff or others, to use for such purposes as a quiet
retreat, reflection, prayer, worship, small religious services and other appropriate cultural expressions. Staff can direct you
to this area.

Turning Point  provides a wide range of specialist treatment and support services to people affected by alcohol and drug use. Clinical services at Turning Point are provided by specialist clinicians, outreach workers and counsellors. Turning Point clinicians are available for providing consultancy and support services to community based service providers.

Opened in 2008, Yarra Ranges Health is a day hospital located in Lilydale.

The Day Surgery Unit provides a wide variety of day surgery procedures and the Day Oncology Unit delivers oncologist and chemotherapy services. A range of specialist clinical, rehabilitation and outreach services are also available at Yarra Ranges Health.

Established in 1985, Peter James Centre in East Burwood provides rehabilitation and aged-care services to people following illness or surgery, or who have disabilities or chronic illness. It has rehabilitation beds, complex rehabilitation beds, acute inpatient aged psychiatry beds and a residential aged care facility (mental health).

Services include Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Aged Persons Mental Health Services, Aged Care Assessment Service, Aged Psychiatry Assessment Team, Haemodialysis, Residential Care and Transition Care. Established in 1976, Maroondah Hospital in Ringwood East is a metropolitan teaching hospital that provides secondary acute care, and acute adult mental health services.

Established in 1956, Box Hill Hospital is the largest of our acute hospitals admitting more than 48,000 patients each year.

Angliss Hospital was established in 1939, located at the foot of the Dandenong Ranges.

Angliss services cover the south of Knox to the south west of the Yarra Ranges, as well as Croydon and parts of Ringwood.

We provide a wide range of healthcare services including: Emergency Care, General Medicine, Surgery, Intensive Care, Midwifery, Paediatrics and Rehabilitation.

Angliss is also able to offer programs which allow patients to be cared for in their homes.

A high level aged care facility known as the Edward Street is located next to the Hospital

Please Note

Building works will be occurring in the Angliss Hospital Emergency Department front of house from September 30, 2019 to construct a Behavioural Assessment Room. Signage is available on-site to ensure there is minimal disruption to services. Work is expected to conclude on November 29, 2019. The Behavioural Assessment Room will be a great addition to the Emergency Department and the service we provide to our community, and we thank you for your patience as the works are underway.
