Established in 1985, Peter James Centre in East Burwood provides rehabilitation and aged-care services to people following illness or surgery, or who have disabilities or chronic illness. It has rehabilitation beds, complex rehabilitation beds and acute inpatient aged psychiatry beds.
Services include Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Aged Persons Mental Health Services, Aged Care Assessment Service, Aged Psychiatry Assessment Team, Haemodialysis. A wide range of ambulatory services, including home-based and centre–based rehabilitation, are also available.
Totally Tobacco Free
Eastern Health is totally tobacco-free. Under the Tobacco Act 1987 smoking is prohibited within four metres of an entrance to all Victorian public hospitals and registered community health centres. Smoking is not allowed in the buildings or on the grounds of any of our sites, including walkways, entrances and car parks. -
