Eastern Health Foundation is pleased to welcome Mr Jason Smith as our new Director.
Jason joins us after six and a half years with the Burnet Institute, a world-class research organisation working in Australia and internationally.
A graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science, Jason has over a decade of senior marketing, fundraising and philanthropy experience. He has worked on four continents and speaks fluent French.
“I’m looking forward to meeting Eastern Health’s community of supporters to learn more about their interest in our work and aspirations for the future,” says Jason.
Farewell to Anne Gribbin
Eastern Health recently bid farewell to Anne Gribbin as Director of the Foundation. Over five years, Anne led the Foundation team to support a number of large projects and new initiatives at Eastern Health including:
- Raising $360,000 to establish the Vivian Bullwinkel Chair in Palliative Care Nursing and End of Life Care, which will allow innovative research into the way we care for people in their final stages of life
- Raising over $550,000 to support the development and enhancement of cancer services provided at Eastern Health
- Developing the unique recognition storyboards across Peter James Centre, Angliss Hospital and Box Hill Hospital. These storyboards celebrate philanthropy through the telling of local stories
