Our Physiotherapists at Eastern Health Community Health provide treatment for adults with musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory conditions to help them achieve wellbeing and quality of life.
Our Physiotherapist will start by assessing your condition and then develop a treatment plan with you. This may include education, manual techniques, self-management techniques, home exercises and referral to community exercise.
Physiotherapy sessions are not ongoing and are for a limited time only. There is a strong emphasis on self-management and reablement.
Physiotherapy can help with:
- Mobility and movement disorders
- Arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions
- Decreased endurance and frailty
- Preventing falls and balance problems
- Chronic breathing problems
- Neurological conditions
- Pain related disorders
- Physical health and wellbeing at different stages of life.
Eligibility Criteria
Priority is given to health care card and pension card holders, and low income earners.We cannot provide services to those on home care packages level 3 & 4.
Referral
When referring a client, please provide comprehensive medical history including medications and results of any relevant investigations.
If you are over the age of 65, please refer viaMy Aged Care or by calling 1800 200 422.

Cost
The level of fees payable is dependent on the client’s income and whether the client has a concession card. Our services are for low and middle income earners.
Current fees (August 2022) are:
• $11 low income families (includes Health Care Card holders),
• $17 for middle income earners
• $108 for high income earners -
