This day aims to enhance mother’s awareness of self-care and offers information as to how this might be achieved. A number of guest speakers provide useful information for women who just had a baby. Free massage and lunch included. Mum’s Day Out also provides an opportunity for mothers to make social connections thereby alleviating social isolation for these women. All women living in the Yarra Ranges are welcome.
The day is conducted by a midwife, social worker, and community development worker. Guest speakers include physiotherapists, dieticians, counsellors and speech pathologist.
Women can self refer by calling P: 1300 130 381 or can be referred by health professionals. Booking are essential.
