The counselling service offers face-to-face and telehealth counselling for individuals across a range of issues which can impact on your life. Our counsellors will assist you toidentify your goals, gain a better understanding of the issues you are facing and work with you to develop strategies for managing difficulty. The counselling service offers up to 12 appointments.

Counsellors can assist you in the following areas:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Grief and loss
  • Family/relationship issues
  • Family violence
  • Stress
  • Health issues

The counselling service also runs the Better Mental Health Program (BMHP). BMHP is a skills based, psycho-education group, designed to improve mental health and wellbeing. The program draws from evidence based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Positive Psychology with a strong focus on self-compassion.
