Our Occupational Therapists assist people living at home who may be having difficulties with:

  • Managing self care
    • Bathing, grooming, toileting
  • Managing at home
    • Preparing meals
    • Shopping
    • Cleaning
    • Gardening
    • Confusion or memory loss
  • Recreation/leisure
    • Participation in social activities
    • Hobbies/interests
    • Getting around eg wheelchairs, scooter

Our Occupational Therapist will meet with you (and your carer if a carer is involved), usually in your home, to develop an individual management plan.

Eligibility Criteria

Priority is given to health care card and pension card holders, and low income earners.


When referring a client, please provide comprehensive medical history including medications and results of any relevant investigations.


The Department of Health prescribes the Community Health fees. The level of fees payable is dependent on the client's income and whether the client has a concession card. Current fees (July 2016) are: $10 per visit for low income earners (includes HCC and pension card holders) and middle income earners. $93.80 for high income earners.
