Eastern Health provides a combined Dietetic and Speech Pathology feeding clinic for infants and young children.
The clinic will accept referrals if feeding is the primary issue.
For example
- Fussy eating / food refusal
- Failure to thrive
- Texture transitionin
- Ages 6 months– 5 year olds If you have already seen your Maternal Child Health Nurse / Lactation Consultant.
The clinic will not be able to accept referrals if feeding is not the primary issue.
For example, complex feeding issues that require a multidisciplinary service, for example Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay and Autism. These referrals would be more appropriately directed to a multidisciplinary service i.e. Early Intervention / Specialist Children's Services.
