Children’s Occupational Therapy

The Occupational Therapist works together with children and their families to address developmental concerns in the areas of fine motor, gross motor, self-care and developing sensory processing skills.
The Occupational Therapist works with children aged from 6 months to the end of Prep.
Reasons for referrals may include:

  • Fine motor difficulties – drawing, colouring, writing
  • Clumsiness or coordination difficulties impacting on gross motor skills
  • Difficulty using children's tools (pencils, scissors, cutlery)
  • Sensory seeking or sensitivities
  • Difficulties using playground equipment
  • Difficulty with self-care skills e.g. dressing
