Volunteer with Eastern Health
Eastern Health values volunteers as they bring support and encourage community engagement which enhance the sustainability of our public health services. Eastern Health volunteers provide valuable support to our staff and patients, help improve safety, health and wellbeing of people in Melbourne's eastern, outer-eastern and Yarra Ranges communities.
Information sessions are held twice a year, usually in February and July. If you wish to attend one of these sessions please complete and return the expression of interest form (download). Further details regarding information sessions will be available closer to the dates.
Volunteers should be able to make a 12-month commitment.

- Eastern Health is supported by about 800 volunteers who perform a range of operational and support roles, volunteer services and assignments.
- Volunteers contribute more than 166,000 hours to Eastern Health each year.
- Our volunteer transport drivers enabled us to provide transport for 2165 patients covering almost 39,000 k of travel.
- The auxiliary kiosks at Box Hill Hospital opens from 8am - 8pm and Maroondah Hospital 9.30am - 8pm and are supported by 170 volunteers working 3 shifts per day, 7 days per week. All profits are donated back to the hospitals for the purchase of medical equipment.
- Auxiliaries across Eastern Health raised more than $500,00 in 2010/11
